MITAS Rocket Ride: Ossi Reisinger wins the spectacular opening race on the spectacular uphill race track!

The first day of racing at the Red Bull Erzbergrodeo 2025 had fans cheering during the spectacular steep slope race: Ossi Reisinger (AUT, Husqvarna) won ahead of Chris Gundermann (GER, KTM) and Kevin Gallas (GER, Yamaha).

Almost 300 participants took part in today's first Red Bull Erzbergrodeo race day at the start of the MITAS Rocket Ride uphill race at the foot of the Erzberg. The challenging course, consisting of four steep slopes, offered the usual spectacular full-throttle action for the thousands of visitors who had already created a great atmosphere during qualifying at midday. With the active support of Red Bull Erzbergrodeo track construction partner Wacker Neuson, the extremely selective track, including a right-hand bend, was perfectly implemented. After the spectacular qualifying, the fastest 48 riders went into the Super Final in the evening, led by Ossi Reisinger, the most successful MITAS Rocket Ride participant to date. Facing strong competition from 16 nations and three continents, the Austrian managed to secure his seventh victory in the legendary uphill race. The powerful two-cylinder enduros ridden by Johnny Aubert (FRA, KTM), Kevin Gallas (GER, Yamaha), and Chris Gundermann (GER, KTM), who competed in the Super Final on both a single-cylinder enduro and the KTM 890 Adventure R two-cylinder enduro, also put on a spectacular show. The atmosphere along the race track was also unbeatable. Thousands of fans cheered the riders on loudly through each race and were then treated to a special highlight: the Schmidt Racing Team burned rubber with their V8 all-wheel-drive buggy in a spectacular show run on the Rocket Ride steep slope.!
