The Z1000Transformer gets MIVV’s “made in Italy” makeover

They help “soften” the “sugomi-inspired” bodywork of the impressive new Z1000 and improve the performance of its powerful engine.

MIVV exhausts have accompanied the Z1000 since its conception… and the extraordinary 2014 version is no exception. Therefore, the renowned brand is fully acquainted with the powerful In-Line Four engine, having followed the progress of its technical evolution.

This two-wheeled “TRANSFORMER”, with its primeval lines and “no compromise” finishes which took everyone’s breath away when it was unveiled at EICMA 2013, has proven to provide surprisingly responsive handling on the road due to its agility and power management.
The 2014 version has mean lines and has been technologically advanced and revamped in numerous aspects: brakes, suspensions, driving position, head and tail lights and engine, now even more powerful and ready to pounce...

Quite a challenge for MIVV, who rises to the occasion. Credit goes to the expertise acquired over decades of presence on the market and of the analysis of hundreds of super sports and naked bikes.

Four different versions to choose from, which follow the original double exhaust configuration, all lighter (weight savings range from 3.5 to 6.2 kilos) and more compact than the factory exhausts, exposing the brake system and the characteristic 250mm petal-type brake disc.

The CORTO GP is the short sporty exhaust; MIVV used its experience in MOTOGP as the sponsor of the HRC team to design this version. It is available in Carbon, Titanium and Steel Black.
SUONO is still incredibly up to date even on this “back from the future” bike. It is available in the INOX stainless steel version with carbon caps and also in the STEEL BLACK version complementing the dark look of the bodywork.
GHIBLI is perhaps the outsider of the group, in the sense that rather than mirroring the Z1000 style, it provides an intriguing yet complementary contrast. Its contours derive from a semi-artisanal production using high quality stainless steel.
Last but not least, the minimalist DOUBLE GUN. Crafted by MIVV entirely in titanium, it turns the Z1000 into a true special! This is the only version not homologated.

Each of these versions further increase the range of the 4 cylinders of the Z1000, providing greater enhancement around 7,000 rpm (as indicated in the bench test data sheet) with notable increases in power and torque, both with the homologated and open exhausts.
These increases range from the +3.3 CV and +3.1 Nm “added” by the GP to the incredible results of the SOUNO open: +10.3 CV and +8.3 Nm.
